Business Strategy Manager Position

The successful candidate will be a business strategy manager in Al Dahra’s Strategy and Transformation team working under the Strategy Director in HQ. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with and learn from key leaders across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Research / Competitive Intelligence

- Identify and monitor key trends across Al Dahra’s landscape and ecosystem

- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to form externally informed, actionable insights and enterprise-wide outlooks that are then used to formulate corporate strategy

- Experience in supply chain and logistics

- Build a robust competitive intelligence process to monitor activities of key industry players including competitors, suppliers, customers and consumers

Strategic Planning

- Drive the strategic planning process within Al Dahra to define company strategy, establish strategic goals & identify strategic initiatives

- Perform both internal and external strategic analyses to become better informed about current business conditions

- Funnel insights (industry, business, competitive analysis) to facilitate strategic plan development

- Develop scenarios centered around variations in business outlook and assess strategic responses including capital allocation

- Establish and maintain a companywide calendar to facilitate the planning processes

Business Partnering

- Perform the role of an in-house business consultant; Partner with teams across the organization to facilitate Deep-Dive analyses into selected businesses with varying objectives ranging from effecting a turnaround of a troubled business to accelerating the growth of a fledgling business

- Assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; research and analyze relevant industries, markets, trends to identify strategies and initiatives to address desired objectives

Performance Management and Executive Communication

- Assist in executing the Strategic Plan by supporting transformation initiatives and by facilitating tracking and reporting of key performance metrics

- Identify performance gaps and facilitate coordinated actions to address issues

  • Develop content that will be included in executive and board level presentations
  • Support with Improving the overall performance of the business units in scope
  • Experience in execution of initiatives and plans

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or engineering preferred
