Al Dahra Agriculture - Animal Feed Division, acquires a feed processor in Wannamal, North of Perth, Western Australia to strengt

The founder of ‘Glenvar Hay Pty Limited’, Glenvar Pastoral, has been producing a variety of quality feed products, particularly Oaten Hay and Wheaten Straw since 1925.  Glenvar Hay Pty Limited has an established sales network domestically in Australia and overseas across Asia and the Middle East.

As a result of this acquisition, which was facilitated by the Western Australian Trade Office (WATO), Al Dahra Agriculture will gain access to a strategic growers and suppliers base, in addition to farming land in Western Australia. 

The plant that “Al Dahra Glenvar Hay Pty Limited” will manage and operate is strategically located in the wheat growing belt which secures the availability of raw materials at competitive rates. It is also at proximity of key highways and shipping ports, allowing a swift and uninterrupted movement of containers. The factory is equipped with the latest pressing and baling technologies, an in-house laboratory and storage facilities.

On this occasion, HE Khadim Al Darei, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Al Dahra Holding commented: “this initiative constitutes another milestone in terms of Al Dahra’s strategy to geographically diversify investments and establish presence in the Southern Hemisphere in order to ensure product availability across all seasons and mitigate market risks. We also look forward to working closely with the farmers operating around Glenvar to increase the value of their crops by opening up new export markets for their products”.
